Ashley Turner, MSW, LICSW, SUDP-T, is a Clinical Psychology PsyD doctoral student at Antioch University Seattle. She is in her third year of training, which includes enhancing one’s understanding of clinical evidence-based interventions and competency in psychological assessments. Ashley received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Williams College and a certificate in addiction counseling from Spokane Falls Community College. Ashley received a Master of Arts in Social Work and a certificate in trauma from Boston College. Ashley has experience working in outpatient facilities, hospitals, and colleges.
Ashley is passionate about mental health wellness and supporting clients through challenges. Ashley has worked with a diverse range of clients and disorders over the years. As a Black woman, Ashley understands how cultural identity shapes one’s self-perception and sense of place in the world. Ashley recognizes that healing and personal growth look differently for everyone. Ashley specializes in the following areas: trauma, depression, sexual questioning, gender questioning, anxiety, emotion regulation, managing life transitions, improving self-esteem, and navigating relationship challenges. Ashley utilizes the following modalities: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic approaches, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy. Ashley tailors her approach to the individual’s needs at the time.
Ashley provides psychotherapy to teenagers (ages 17+) and adults. Ashley also provides psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults. The psychological assessments address individual education plans (IEP), institutional accommodations, disability assessments, and diagnosis clarity.
Ashley is currently accepting therapy and assessment clients at the NW Family’s Silverdale location.
