Nuri Kahn, DBH, LMFT, MHP is the clinical director of NW Family Psychology – Seattle.

Dr. Kahn provides psychotherapy and other behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and adults seeking treatment for a wide range of clinical issues including anxiety, depression, impulse control, phobias, somatoform disorders, trauma, adjustment challenges, relationship discord and behavioral disorders. Dr. Kahn specializes in parent-child reunification counseling and in behavioral health support for patients struggling with a variety of stressors including chronic illness, pain management, insomnia, fatigue, functional limitations, health-related anxieties, and lifestyle choices that impact overall health.

Dr. Kahn’s treatment modalities are steeped in evidence-based practices and includes cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, trauma-focused therapy, emotionally focused therapy, mindfulness practice and interpersonal psychotherapy. This is accomplished by working within a systemic framework that considers the direct and subtle role sociological factors, conditioning and relationship systems play in issues presenting in behavioral health.

Dr. Kahn holds a doctorate degree in clinical behavioral health and is also a licensed marriage and family therapist in Washington State. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, Society of Behavioral Medicine, Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and a clinical fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
