Lauren Visconsi, JD

S. Lauren Visconsi, JD, is currently working as an intern under Dr. Poppleton’s supervision, toward completion of her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health from George Fox University. Lauren completed her law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law and practiced in both Washington and California state. While practicing Lauren focused on high conflict dissolution matters, mediation, as well as child dependency and guardian ad litem work. Lauren decided to pursue further education to deepen her work with individuals and families going through the process of dissolution and high conflict, especially within the legal arena that brings unique psychological stressors. Lauren is focusing her work on bilateral custody evaluations, family reunification and therapy, individual therapy focusing on difficult relationship transitions, and both individual and family/group work to address high conflict resolutions. In practice Lauren takes an eclectic or integrative approach, utilizing different theory, philosophy, style and technique from a diverse background. She utilizes a Strengths-Based and Solution-Focused style with a strong reliance on Cognitive-Behavioral aspects to help clients achieve their goals.
