Lauren Visconsi, JD

S. Lauren Visconsi, JD, MA, is currently working as a Professional Counseling Associate in the state of Oregon under Dr. Landon Poppleton’s supervision. Lauren completed her law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law and practiced in both Washington and California state. She completed her master’s in clinical mental health from George Fox University. While practicing Lauren focused on high conflict dissolution matters, mediation, as well as child dependency and guardian ad litem work. Lauren decided to pursue further education to deepen her work with individuals and families going through the process of dissolution and high conflict, especially within the legal arena that brings unique psychological stressors. Lauren is focusing her practice on bilateral custody evaluations, family reunification and therapy, individual therapy focusing on difficult relationship transitions, as well as both individual and family/group work to address high conflict resolutions. As a clinician Lauren takes an eclectic and integrative approach, utilizing different theories, philosophies, styles and techniques from a diverse background in order to serve the unique needs of individual families. She utilizes a Psycho-Dynamic Therapy foundation, a Strengths-Based and Solution-Focused style with a strong reliance on Cognitive-Behavioral aspects to help clients achieve their goals.
