Child, Adolescent, and Family Psychotherapy

The counselors at NW Family Psychology strive to provide each individual with the best evidence-based practice standards for counseling services. If appropriate, they also work closely with your medical provider to make sure all aspects of your health are being addressed.

Child & Adolescent Counseling

As a preferred service provider for pediatricians and family practice physicians, private and public schools, the court system, and multiple insurance panels, we have unique expertise in evaluating child/adolescent emotional and behavioral conditions, and successfully “working through” those issues. Our counseling sessions begin with a comprehensive intake assessment to better understand your child’s unique strengths and challenges. Many of our child clients are experiencing school failure, depression and anxiety, conflicts with parents, focus and follow through problems, trouble relating to peers, as well as difficulty adjusting over their parent’s separation and/or divorce.

Unfortunately, these challenges can disrupt the developmental progression of your child and may ultimately impair their ability to tap into their potential and succeed as adults. Once we have identified the core challenges, our counselors use evidence-based strategies to help resolve the issues AND provide you with the skills to self-manage these issues over time.

Marriage & Family Psychotherapy

Relationships, similar to individuals, face the vicissitudes of life, and need support. The tensions that exist in a relationship are unique, and require special care from supportive professionals. Several of our NWFP providers are specifically skills in navigating impactful stress on couples and families, most specifically as it relates to protecting new relationships after divorce or separation from old ones.

Adult Psychotherapy

Many of our NWFP providers offer counseling services for a wide range of clinical existential challenges. In particular, our counselors have unique experience in helping you work through the struggles of divorce/separation. The effects don’t have to be permanent. We work with both adult children of divorce and those navigating their own separation to learn effective ways to enrich present relationships and effect positive change in their life.
