Cynthia “Cyn” Langston

Specialized training in military sexual trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (military and civilian), designated crisis responder, trauma-focused, cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) for children and adolescence, mindfulness practices, and treatment for victims of domestic-violence.

Cynthia “Cyn” Langston was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. She attended Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, and later received her master’s degree in Social Work, clinical practice, from the University of Southern California in 2015. Following her graduate work, Cyn relocated to Seattle and worked at the Crisis Solution Center.

Cyn has received specialized training in military sexual trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (military and civilian), designated crisis responder, trauma-focused, cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT) for children and adolescence, mindfulness practices, and treatment for victims of domestic-violence. Since 2015, Ms. Langston has treated children, adolescents, and adults with various mood and behavioral challenges (e.g. anxiety, depression, trauma), as well as schizophrenia, schizoaffective, bipolar, and personality disorders.

Cyn is currently working full time at the Discovery Behavioral Healthcare as a designated crisis responder, psychotherapist and clinical social worker. She has now joined NW Family Psychology (Port Townsend location) part time and is available for evening appointments (currently online and later in-person as virus situation improves).
