Northwest Psychological Services - Larios

Cesario Larios, MA, LMHCA

Cesario Larios, MA, LMHCA is a Clinical Psychology PsyD doctoral student at Antioch University Seattle. He is in his fifth year of training, which has encompassed both clinical applications in therapy as well as psychological assessment. During his doctoral training with NW Family Psychology, Cesario works with clients seeking either therapy or Northwest psychological services – assessment. He is accepting therapy/assessment clients at NW Family’s Seattle location and therapy/assessment clients at the Silverdale location.
Cesario provides Northwest Psychological Services –  therapeutic counseling for children, adolescents, and families. He has worked with people placed in state institutions, outpatient psychiatric clinics, schools, and universities. Bringing a therapeutic approach that is adaptable to the wide range of mental health concerns clients bring to therapy, Cesario draws upon solution-focused therapy principles, narrative techniques, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
Cesario also provides psychological assessments for children and adolescents pursuant to IEP plans, other institutional accommodations, as well as disability assessments for adults. He also has experience using evidence-based assessments to provide diagnostic clarity for consultation with medication providers, as well. Cesario is currently accepting new clients at NW Family Psychology Madison Park, as well as NW Family Psychology Silverdale.
Northwest Psychological Services - Lucy Banic

Lucy Banic, LMHCA

Lucy Banic, LMHCA, was initially trained and educated in British Columbia, Canada, and has been a mental health counselor in Washington state since 2017. She earned her BA in Psychology from Simon Fraser University in 2010, and then her MA in Clinical Counseling at City University, Seattle, Washington, in 2014.
Lucy has received advanced training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) through Harborview Center for Sexual Assault and Traumatic Stress, as well as has experience in using components of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, emotion-focused, and expressive art therapy techniques. Lucy is currently holds a LMHCA and expects to obtain her LMHC by the end 2019.
Lucy has a passion for working with children, youth, and their families and enjoys providing therapeutic support to clients to working through a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, grief and loss, interpersonal relationship and communication difficulties, identity challenges, self-esteem/self-acceptance, as well as problem-solving and skill-building.
Lucy believes that warmth, acceptance, and empathy are at the core of a positive therapeutic relationship and works to promote an environment of safety and trust where your voice is heard and valued. Lucy believes that therapy is most effective when it is collaborative and tailors her therapeutic approach to match the values and goals of clients. Using your innate strengths and skills, Lucy works with you to explore the barriers to fulfilling personal goals and by inspiring hope and optimism, supports you to move forward toward lasting change.

Kasia Hoskins, MA, LMFT

Kasia Hoskins, MA, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a broad range of experience having worked both in community mental health settings as well as private practice. Kasia graduated in 2008 from Antioch University, Seattle, with a specialization in a child, couples, and family therapy. She has been licensed in her field since 2012.
Kasia is passionate about assisting clients of all ages in the process of growth and change. She believes that therapy offers a unique opportunity to feel supported, and at the same time challenged in creating a more fulfilling and satisfying life. She works with individual adults and couples, as well as children, adolescents, and their family members.
Her therapeutic approach is influenced by client centered, strength based, and solution focused. This means working together in defining your vision of a more fulfilling life as well as examining, in a non judgmental way, what beliefs, thoughts, and behaviors prevent you from living the way you want. Other approaches Kasia incorporates is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Psychotherapy. Northwest Psychological Services
Kasia’s practice serves clients with a broad range of challenges: from gaining more insight into one’s reality, learning skills of self acceptance and compassion, becoming more skilled in managing difficult emotions or relationship distress, and healing past wounds to knowing how to reconnect with yourself and others.
Parents often seek Kasia’s support around issues related to behavior management, mood regulation, grief, and trauma. Couples frequently come to see her to repair communication breakdowns and create a greater sense of closeness/intimacy. Kasia also offers couples therapy for those experiencing separation and/or divorce. Other issues addressed in therapy might include depression, anxiety, ADHD, PTSD, and adjustment problems.

Northwest Psychological Services - Arista

Arista Dechant, LMHC

Arista Dechant, LMHC, was born and raised in Kansas, where she attended Fort Hays State University. She graduated in 2011 with a master’s degree (MA) in counseling and became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) soon thereafter.
Ms. Dechant has treated both youth and adults experiencing complex mood and behavioral challenges, including depression, anxiety, psychosis, eating disorders, and personality disorders. In addition, she has received forensic training at the Center of Counseling and Consultation. In this capacity, Ms. Dechant receiving training in administering northwest psychological services evaluations, working on parenting and custody evaluations, as well as competency evaluations for Barton County Superior Court.
Following this experience, Ms. Dechant relocated to Washington in 2014, at which time she became a Child Mental Health Professional. Since this time, she has worked as a court mandated psychotherapist for Peninsula Behavioral Healthcare and the Juvenile Justice Authority. In 2016, Ms. Dechant transitioned to Discovery Behavioral Healthcare, where she received additional training with intake assessments and became the assistant clinical director of that agency.
Ms. Dechant has now joined NW Family Psychology full time and is currently working on obtaining her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. She will graduate with a specialty in clinical forensic psychology in the near future. Ms. Dechant is currently offering both psychological testing and counseling. She is available in both the Silverdale and Port Townsend offices.
Northwest Psychological Services - Glyn

Glyn Deputy, M.Ed, LMHC

Glyn Deputy, M.Ed, LMHC, brings a keen awareness of both the necessities and subtleties of surviving our human condition and reaching one’s full potential. Glyn has worked with generational family issues in rural and frontier communities, has assisted students with all types of disability in pursuing higher education, and has gained exceptional skills in mental health and substance abuse diagnosis and treatment, having broad experience in community mental health services. In addition, he continues to broaden and deepen his expertise in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, psychosis, adjustment disorders, learning and cognitive disorders, and impulse control disorders, as well as cultural and existential concerns.
Glyn’s therapeutic approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Psychotherapy, Trauma-Informed approaches, Harm Reduction Psychotherapy Motivational Interviewing, and Developmental/Systems Approaches.  Glyn also has experience with energy northwest psychology services and meditation. He enjoys working with children, adolescents, and young adults, as well as families and adults of all ages.
